Dr Matthew Lombardi
Dentist
Ingham-born, Dr Matthew Lombardi grew up and completed his schooling in the district. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a bachelor of Dental science in 2007. Following graduation, Dr Lombardi moved to Townsville and has worked in private practice as well as having some experience working with Queensland Health.
Dr Lombardi has a gentle and caring chair-side manner and takes care in presenting and explaining in detail, treatment plan alternatives in all areas of modern, state of the art Dentistry and providing comprehensive, full mouth dental care. Dr Lombardi is a general dentist and has completed continuing education courses in Orthodontics, Laser Dentistry, Dental Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry and Neuromuscular Dentistry.
Hailing from a large Italian family, Dr Lombardi has a love of food. Cooking is one of his favourite past times and is especially famous for his Spaghetti Vongole. He enjoys going to the gym, playing and watching all sports; particularly soccer and golf; and travelling.
Dr Declan Collins
Dentist
Dr Declan Collins was born in Townsville in 1991 and grew up and completed schooling in Charters Towers. He graduated from the pioneering first cohort of James Cook University’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree and began his professional career in Central West Queensland with Queensland Health.
Dr Collins shares North Queensland Family Dental’s patient centred approach to comprehensive treatment planning and aims to deliver a high quality, modern and a gentle experience. Dr Collins is a general dentist with an interest in restorative and preventive dentistry.
Growing up in North Queensland, Dr Collins is a fanatical Cowboys fan, with a love for many sports including rugby league, tennis and golf. He is also a keen fisherman and is relishing his return from outback Queensland to our beautiful coastline.

Melissa Lewis
Hygienist
Melissa graduated with Honours with a Degree of Dental Hygiene from Fanshawe College, Canada. After graduation Melissa worked in the Rocky Mountains of Canada’s west coast for three years, followed by a year in New Zealand, and now Australia has been home for nine years.
You might notice that she has a bit of an accent (that’ll be her Canadian roots coming through) but Melissa is a true Queenslander with a love for hiking, exploring and finding gorgeous waterfalls.
Melissa has a special interest in advanced periodontal treatment, in chair whitening and orthodontics, and with over 15 years’ experience in the dental industry Melissa will leave you in a relaxed mood with a healthy smile!
Brittany Hutchinson
Hygienist
Brittany was born and raised in Ingham and worked as a dental assistant for 7 years before deciding to study Dental Hygiene. She completed her Dental Hygienist qualification in Adelaide and graduated in 2019.
Brittany excels at alleviating patient anxieties, with her fun, calm and reassuring manner and has the ability to make patients feel comfortable during their visits. Her passion for the industry includes treating periodontal disease, educating patients on the importance of oral health for the entire body and making children’s first dental visits enjoyable.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys staying active with her love for running and exploring the great outdoors with her husband and son.
